The Story

Behind the name of our company stands a man, Bertrand De Tarle and behind the man, lies a story..
Leaving France, and a life all mapped out for him, Bertrand made his way to Australia on a boat in 1968.
Back then, the relationships between Australia and the South Pacific Islands were at their minimum and the fax machine was considered the fastest communication tool on the planet..

Exporting goods to the islands was therefore quite a challenge and Bertrand started off by supplying the islands with food products.
Since then, the Company has expanded the scope of its core activities and with two offices, respectively in Sydney & Brisbane, we can offer you a wide range of products & Services - Anything you can think of, Bertrand Export will endeavour to source it for you in the most cost-effective & time-efficient ways.
